mobile_broadbandUK Mobile Broadband users are unaware of the “hidden” financial penalties for exceeding their download limits. Most UK network operators charge their customers more for going over their download limit set out in their contract.

  • O2 charge £200 per 1GB over.
  • Three charge £100 per 1GB over.
  • Vodafone charge £15 per 1GB.
  • T-Mobile charge nothing, however they may contact the customer to inform them to switch to a higher allowance package.

The O2 network in the UK has suffered a data outage this afternoon (1pm BST 21/07/09). O2 engineers are aware of the issue but aren’t releasing any causes or further information about the outage. The issue is affecting email and MMS services for many pay monthly customers.
