Apple has responded the the Palm Pre’s ability to sync with iTunes by “address[ing] an issue with verification of Apple devices”.
For all those Palm Pre owners out there still wishing to use iTunes, the recommendation is NOT to update iTunes – this probably means uninstalling a thing called Apple Software Update for Windows users.
